You can dry carp skins. It works just fine. You need to really degrease them.

That fake snake skin was some cotton fabric I got off ****. I got enough to back 6 bows for $7.69

The carp skins I used were given to me by Tim Ott. They were dried. I have another set that Pearlie gave me that are also dried.
