Very nice!

Is "Texas Ebony" the actual breed or is it a name given to the wood and it stuck?

Right on that's all I've ever heard it referred to as. How is it to work with? I really like the colors, and it's not super pricey either.

It's can be somewhat tough on bandsaw blades and sandpaper but no more than Osage or something like that I don't think and it is pretty inexpensive for how hard it is to find in pieces big enough to work with

I like this one a lot. Great profiles, and great wood combos!
