This whole last 2 months ive been putting off my ipe bamboo builds cause i hadnt built a hotbox yet... i have the urac stuff ad recomended by so many. And not once have i read anywhere that you dont HAVE to use a hotbox... i thought it was crucial in the process :( ... well gessh so i let it dry for a few days im in no hurry... ugh if i had known id had already started on my ipe bamboo bows :(

With Urac all you need is 24 hours at 70deg I think. A hot box will make the glue set faster but it will work without one.

Nope, not necessary, but recommended. A lot of us use smooth on which cures better (more strength and in 1/6th the time) at around 150, and possibly gives the glue a bit more heat resistance. Not sure if urac does the same thing.

I've used both trueshot. I definitely prefer smooth on. Had a BBH fail with urac. Probably just the user, but never had any problems with smooth on and hot box. They are really easy to build.
