I've been on a kick of reworking some of my older bows that maybe didn't get the most skilled attention originally.
So far this is the first to approach completion.
It's hickory (I believe it was one of the smoothbarked varities)
1" wide to past midlimb then tapering to 1/2" tips. 1/4" reflex after unstringing.
The bow takes a 52" string and draws 45# @ 26". Heat tempered into deflex/reflex and to create static tips.
I really like this one alot. It's never going to look great because of the butchering I did to it originally, but it's tillered a lot better now.
If I do it again I'll go alot wider, but other than that I like this one.
