Morrison Cheyenne w/ Foam Core limbs
« on: March 03, 2008, 11:10:00 AM »
This is the riser I bought from Bob and then added another set of limbs. These are the foam core limbs. These limbs are amazing! They draw really smooth with no noticable difference in resistance anywhere through the draw. The arrow speed seems pretty fast for 45# too. There is definitely a better hand feel in the riser hand. Not that the 'boo core is bad this is just an improvement in my experience. That's Bob! I wasn't too sure about a flat black with the beautiful wood. But I love it. The contrast really shows off the color of the wood.

Shell, the limb bolts look good as a contrast too. The tracks even line up!!! Thanks for your help.

Great looking bow Snag! Although I've never seen an ugly bow out of Bob's shop.

I agree, Bob makes a fine shooting and looking bow. The grip is very comfortable. The satin finish is great. This is my first from his shop...don't think it will be my last.

Great looking bow. I have a Shawnee that is in the process of being built now. Of course I went with the foam carbon limbs but had to add some Copperheads. Just love them snakes.

Enjoy!

Glad you like 'em.....I'm loving mine! I have literally shot it every day since I got it. I just ordered a similar set of limb bolts from Shell, can't wait to get them on.

I'm envious. Love those Cheyenne's. Your riser is one of the nicest wood combos offered to me.

Mark, I got this by accident...really! lol  Someone on here mentioned all the great "in-stock" risers Bob had on his website. I made the mistake of looking! It was exactly what I would have order.

Charlie, it's "grey foam"   :D

Seriously, I have no idea what kind of foam, I just know it works better than anything I've tried before.

I wonder if this is the type of core material that A&H is using JC?

Snag, thats too many pretty bows, especially with the Blactail coming home. I've really been impressed by the Morrison's-I might have to take the plunge one of these days.

I ask about the type of foam because, well, because it's cool....

But also because I also have a surfing addiction, and lots of high-end custom boards are being made with exotic foam cores, reinforcements, and carbon/glass weaves to adjust the flex patterns. Thought it might be interesting to compare the materials (by the way, I'm a complete "armchair board shaper", having never made a single surfboard or bow- just like to keep up on where things are headed.)

And I'll probably stick to wood-core bows until you guys do a couple decades worth of R and D, since I'm BROKE.
