Advice on new Hill
« on: July 23, 2014, 09:58:00 PM »
Hey Fellas-

Gonna make a new hill style longbow for my self this next month. I usually use a 16 inch riser but after some searching I am going to switch up to a 14 incher.

I also want to make it so the glass wraps around the belly side of the shelf area.

Could someone explain to me how to make this happen?

Since I am switching up the riser length and the fade ramps I think I need to modify my form with some sort of shim too. Is this correct???

Thanks guys

Justin

Is this what you mean by belly glass wrapping around under shelf?

Here is one in progress.  As you see having belly glass under the shelf is all about shelf placement.  If I had my shelf down lower the grip would be too short.  I like hownit turns out when done this way.
