Cutting Phenolic

I was cutting my riser Bocote/osage with phenolic accents
sparks where flying
What kind of blade and what speeds do you use?

Never had sparks fly on phenolic.  Just use a standard blade.

I have occasionally seen a spark or two. I too use a standard blade.

Is that G10 phenolic or some other hybrid?  If so they are like cutting glass.

If Garolite 10, most use carbide edged tooling, including band saw blades.  Big Jim can advise you.

youlll need to come off the wallet and get you a good carbide tip blade for cutting this stuff along with glass too.  I use the wood slicer blades for cutting the glass phenolics and riser blocks.  

Then I have just the reg 3/4 resaw blade from woodslicer for cutting lams.

I have a 36" DoAll at my Ornamental shop.
The short blade on my band saw is 120" the long blade is 157"
This fall I'am going to have a auction to sell everything, and then buy a smaller band saw for the house.
