newbie needs help

I have bought a dozen 5575 arrows that were cut to 29 inces. I am shooting a 1966,45lb, 62 inch Bear tigercat at 27.5-28 draw, and I am not satisfied with the arrow flight. The feathers are synthetic and im not sure if they flatten out correctly. The back end flies all over the place, and I have no clue what to do. No one in my area knows **** about recurves, and I'm lost.

I was wondering if I took off the synthetic ones and put on real feathers from 3rivers, then they might fly straight. Also, does anyone have any clue what grain field point/broadhead you should shoot with that bow?

You are way over spined with those arrows. Put as much weight as you can up front and you might get half-way decent flight but you'd be better off putting them up for trade and trying to get some 35/55 arrows.

What Vermonster said. Ya also have to get some feathers on them. If ya do go with the 35/55 goldtips ya still will need to get your point weight up to 225 grains. Ya can do that by using a 100 grain steel adapter and a glue-on 125 grain point. Shawn

so what would be the optimal spine for that bow? the "Archery expert" said those arrows would be perfect for that bow.... what spine should work and what grain would work best (with a 2 blade broadhead, that is).

The best for you would be 1816 or 1916 aluminums since your new to the game. A lot less cutting and tuning.

The "Archery expert" lead you a stray. LOL! I wouldn't listen to him again.

I agree with the above, the 1816 or 1916 should work great for you.

For carbons, the 35/55 like said above should work fine also. Might have to leave them a little long.
