medieval arrow point

friend of mine found this while he was on the field. he think that this is very very old thing and he gave it to me as a present.  :D

it is bronze... can you have a look and give your ideas about it. how old it can be etc.

I would guess 500 BC. Looks very similar to Chinese bronze arrowheads from that time. Bue--.

i forgot to say it has been found in turkey. so it should be belong some culture that lived in anatolia... sorry bue this can not be chinese except a chnises guy came all the way and a shot an arrow or dropped one arrow point  :D

Well I would love to know more about it Ink but don't discount the Chinese head remember the mongols raged war in that part of the world. Plus trade with the far east might have brought in such prizes.

I believe the Romans made bronze tools I wonder if it could be from them?

Post your photo on the Asian Traditional Archery Research Network   www.ATARN.net    The guys there are THE experts on ancient archery artifacts and such.  They also have a group in Facebook where you could post the pic.

If it's bronze, it's a HECK of a lot older than "medieval", that's for certain!!

insoup -- sorry to be so long in replying.  Yes, they will reply if you post and ask questions.
