Thanks for the comments, guys. I think the camera angle makes it look like the back of the handle has a dip, Wayne. I made the elm backing 1/8" thick and glued in 3" of reflex on my form. It holds 2 1/4" of it after putting 100 arrows thru it.
I like the way it shoots, Pat. Fairly quick and accurate when I don't flinch
I've heard that ERC shatters badly when it breaks, so I'm working on not thinking about that. It was a very straight grained and clean board.
I made it 68" long, 1 5/8" at the fades and 45# @ 27". ERC is some light stuff and the elm is as well. The bow weighs 14 1/2 oz.
I've done some sanding on the outer limbs trying to make them less stiff since these pics were taken. Thanks for looking!
