1st almost done//Thanks for all the help

I want to thank everyone for all the help,and response to all my millions of questions!!!   :bigsmyl:  here's the specs,red oak done with poorfolks build along. 70 inch 37# @ 28,blk walnut and maple riser and tips,rubbed on teak oil.it will get poly after 72hrs.I'm   :D   HOOKED   :D   hoping my next will be closer to my target weight of 50lbs.Thanks again. Very nice, Burt. Make the next bow about 62 to 64 inches, it will help you increase the weight. And induce about 4 inches of reflex at glue up.

Thanks guys, Al, the backing is linen,I used tb III to glue it on.Roy to induce reflex I would have to use a wood backer of some kind,would maple or cherry work? Burt

Looking good.  Nice work on the tips and on getting a smooth taper on the handle fades.  Hard maple is a good backer as long as it is straight grained.
It's hard to make a wooden bow which isn't beautiful, even if it's ugly.

Hard maple 1/4 sawn and straight grain.
