Wood arrow spine question.

For all the folks that have experience with wood arrows......
Say you have a draw length of 30" so your arrows have to be 31.5", and you shoot a Black Widow thats roughly 67 pounds at your draw length...
What spine of cedar arrow would you buy so you can shoot 125gr tips?
Thanks,
Todd

Wow, you're going to need really high spine for that. Most wood shafts are 32", so a 30.5" arrow is as long as most will get you.
I'm guessing you're going to need close to 100 pound spine and it's going to be really tough to find in cedar. Surewood shafts will have it though in DF.
Dennis at Hickory Creek (sponsor) cuts shafts up to 36" but you'll have to check with him for that high of spine, I think he deals mostly with Poplar and hardwoods though.

Thanks fellers.
It almost seems like too much trouble, and way too iffy to invest a load of money into this and not know if I'll be able to tune them properly.
I figured this is what I would be running into.
I'll just stick to aluminumn.
Good luck,
Todd

It is not too much trouble. Alot of people put to much science into it. Yes, most shafts are 32". But, you can easily get a 31"(BOP)arrow from them. If you want to go longer all you need to do is add a wood screw adapter. This will add over an inch.

have you tried different spines to see 67# 30" to 31" likes your black widow probally is cut in the center so the paradox might not be bad my blacktail is 60#at 30" my arrows are parrellel 60 to 65 spine
for hunting i use chest tapers and my bow likes them eveen better theres lots to play with.
