Bow twisting
« on: January 02, 2015, 06:15:00 PM »
I have an older bow that I built and it seems to twist in the hand a bit to the left, R/H bow by the way.  It looks ok on the tree and limbs seem to line up............      could it be that the string nocks need re-tweaking to get it pulling straighter.

The string nock might need tweaking but I doubt they have changed since they were put in.
Pics would help us figure out exactly what the problem could be.

Not sure if photo will show anything.  It seems to twist in the hand at the last couple inches of draw.  Could be the riser is not properly carved out, or a combo of things.

Have you checked the thickness of the limbs. If one side is thicker than the other the limb will twist while being drawn.
