for the Tenn. Classic
« on: February 20, 2015, 02:56:00 PM »
This is part of a set I'm making to donate to Twin Oaks for the raffle table at the Tenn. Classic. The set will contain this Plains style coyote quiver and a sinew backed osage bow, 6 arrows and possibly a stone knife.
I try to donate something each year to help support Twin Oaks. They do such a great job with the Tennessee Classic. Last year I built a hickory backed lemonwood ALB with a belt quiver and 3 old Bear arrows. That set brought $700 to Twin Oaks and hopefully this set will top that.
 Here is a little tease...

Thanks guys. This will be my 8 year going to the Classic and I can say it is the BEST!!! of any shoots I've ever been to. I've gotten to know Pappy and the Twin Oaks guys and have seen the work and money that they put into the club and the Tennessee Classic. Where else can you spend a long trad archery related weekend with your family for such a little bit of money and be with 600 of your best friends.
For me, these donated items are the least I can do to help defer the cost of putting on a shoot like the Tennessee Classic.

Holy Cow Pat that looks great.  Cant wait to see it in person.  I agree with Pat, Pappy and the all of the guys and gals at Twin Oaks are a great bunch of people.  The Classic is by far the best shoot Ive been to.

Beautiful!
It's hard to make a wooden bow which isn't beautiful, even if it's ugly.
