pronghorn bow grip
«

i am waiting to get a new pronghorn bow (maybe April). I still have time to make changes to the order. My question is , how do you like the grip on this bow?? I have shot straight grips on all my longbows for so long (have no problem with them). I was wondering if everyone likes grip as comes or you would change it??

I like them as they are. I have two and another coming. I find them easy to grip consistently.

Got a friend with two of them. They feel great but the leather does get a little slippery.

I have a few pronghorns and I really like straight longbow grips. If leather gets slippery, just rough it up with sand paper...Doc

I have one and have had several in the past. The grip feels like an old friend, everytime I pick it up. I love the grip, and wouldn't change a thing.

The pronghorn grip is the last word for me. If I have any other custom bow made, I will ask if they can duplicate the pronghorn grip. It just feels natural.
I probably will just order me another one in three piece configuration.

I am new to trad gang, and new to traditional archery (been shooting about 7 months now). I just ordered a Pronghorn that should be here in June. I had Herb put a bit of a palm swell and a thumb groove for me on the grip. I have long "lanky" hands and I like the idea of the grip filling my hand just a bit more. I don't know if this will make any sense or not, but being new, I also like the idea that my hand will be gripping the bow in the same place every time, I have enough stuff to remember (alignment, anchor point etc...) It sounds like everyone likes the standard grip just fine though

Well, The grip is a very personal thing, and everyone likes something different, so what works for one won't work for another. It is something you will have to decide when you get the bow, and shoot it.
