Artificial sinew
« on: March 16, 2015, 02:26:00 PM »
I was at a local hobby shop and found some artificial sinew, which I completely forgot existed.

Now, some of my leatherworking friends use it in their hobbies.  Does it have any practical uses for bows other than stringing together a leather handle or perhaps bowstring?

Some folks make bow strings from artificial sinew. It stretches a lot but I think they pre-stretch the strings once made.
