Miniature stickbow
« on: September 11, 2015, 01:17:00 PM »
It's been a very long time since I posted due to work and normal life circumstances, but I still continue to dabble in traditional archery and bowbuilding. Thought I would share one of my latest creations, I'm very proud of it. It's made from a shrub that grows in my yard, trimmed it a bit ago and figured I would give a shot trying to carve a bow for my five year old daughter to shoot. It's just over three feet long and shoots pretty well for a tiny bow. Lifted a splinter during tillering so I put a rawhide patch over it for insurance.   [/IMG]   [/IMG]   [/IMG]

Man, I love it! Really cool!

Thanks. My daughter really likes it and i was ecstatic that it even turned out. It's great for her playing indoors with foam tipped arrows.

Looks like the ones I made back when I was a kid!
Hmmmmm. I know you think you understand what you thought I said, but I'm
not sure that what you heard is what I actually meant!
