B.W. PSR V on the way...
« on: March 06, 2008, 12:32:00 PM »
I just placed an order to test drive/purchase a Black Widow PSR V. They are sending me a PSR X to test drive. 58 inches long, 55# @ 28 inches and I think he said it was Osage? They gent I spoke with (Vernon?) was a great to deal with and he answered all my dumb questions and concerns. It will be delivered to my work on Tuesday. Any one have anything good, bad or indifferent to say about this bow?

Own two of them.  Great bows!  Both 58", PSRX Bocote (60 @ 28) and PSRII (52 @ 28).  Here's a pic of a walk I took with my PSRII last fall.

Skinner, I notice you had an icy pond last "fall". Around here we call that WINTER!

It was 70 degrees here yesterday.

Sure rub it in...I dug out of 10-11" of snow, worst thing was, and I'm about to admit something I shouldn't is this...

I walked out of work at 1 am on Monday night(Tuesday morning) and walked up to my very snow covered truck and went to open the door and thought I pushed the unlock button on my key chain.  My door wasn't shut all the way and there was snow inside...great...so I put the keys in the ignition and started it up to brush the wonderful white crap off my truck but the door wouldn't shut all the way $%@$% tried again same result.  I brush most of the snow out of the doorframe and it still doesn't shut go to open it back to try again and it latched enough to show my sorry dumb butt it was STILL LOCKED!  Got to admit it gave me three tries to figure it out ahead of time.

Now it's still snowing like a devil and I'm thinking great now what...so I call my lovely wife and she gets my 4 year old and 5 year old out of bed to drive me an extra key, remind you in a blizzard.  She was not happy since she gets up for work at 5:20 am.  I was a little worked up by the time we all made it home so I shoveled the wonderful crap out of my whole driveway and sidewalk…took me 40 minutes.  Best thing was when I woke up there was THREE MORE INCHES of this stuff on the ground.

Not a good day…so enjoy your 70 degrees and remember when the humidity is 98% this summer us northerners will be enjoying nicer weather.

Those PSRs are sweet, I hear. I need one too- will have to be after I finish grad school this summer.

Let you in on a little secret, Josh. Us southeasterners grow gills in the summer. Helps us deal with the 99 degree, 98% humidity days.

My new PSRX 54in, Osage should be here in the next 2 weeks. I had them copy the grip from my Shrew on it. This should be a great bow. Can"t wait.

I have a V 58" 58#@28" T/D as a backup bow and a Winter/cold weather hunting bow. very light but rugged, very ergonomic, and a great shooter. I also have that little plastic gadgety tongue that holds the arrow tight on the shelf. cool bow, congratulations
