3Rivers Osage deal
« on: January 19, 2016, 05:13:00 PM »
They have some Osage slats (38"x 1.5" x 5/8" pair) on sale for $29.99 (normally 49.99) and also some on sale for $19.99 with chipped ends. I ordered mine and thought I'd pass along the sale to anyone interested here.

That's a great price.  I bought a couple when they first went on sale.

Thanks for the heads up!  I had to order some more arrows from them anyway, so it was a nice coincidence you posted this.  I took a risk and ordered a pair of the "chipped" boards.  It will be interesting to see if they're decent enough for backing.  If not... I have a large walnut board and a friend who's a pretty good woodworker, so I'm sure he could whip up some nice looking items with that wood combo (in addition to handles and tip overlays!).

They are out of the chipped ones. I won't be getting any. They sent me an email saying they were out of stock a day after I confirmed the order. I had them swap the normal ones in for the chipped ones but they they weren't able to honor the price for my order. Sounds like some bugs need to be sorted out with their inventory and website listings.

I'll keep an eye open for that. When I tried to order 2 pairs of chipped, I got an error saying there wasn't enough in stock to fill the order.  When I placed an order for 1 pair, it went through.  Even if they are out of the chipped, the current sale price is still decent enough that if they do the same thing to me as they did to you, I won't get too upset over it.
