ameristep intimidator ground blind
« on: March 06, 2008, 08:18:00 PM »
anyone have experience with this blind? it is 67" high, is this enough room for a 60" recurve? how about the windows, are they too high? never owned or even shot out of a blind, just need one for antelope and maybe turkey.

Not sure about the Intimidator, but I looked at the Ameristep Dominator at Cabelas last week and liked it a lot. 80" tall, magnets in the windows so you can open and close them without sound. Removable floor, and a little shelf to put calls and ohter stuff on.
When folded up it also had a bow/rifle sling to carry your weapon in.
Price was $299.99 if I remember correctly.

Probably is. I liked the taller models, give you more room if you want/need to take a standing shot.   Hard for me to spend $400 for a Double Bull, $300 is bad enough for this one, but it looks to be well built.

I got the Ameristep Big house blind for $149.00, and it's a full 7 foot tall, plenty of room for even my longest long bows. The only thing I don't like, is the velcro windows.

I bought an Intimidator from Bass Pro last year,my wife and I both love it as she had never been so close to wild ALIVE deer on the ground.I shoot both types of bows, trad and wheel, and my 58" recurve fits no problem. I do have to slide the window camo wrap up instead of down though as I prefer to kneel on the ground to shoot.

Yes, I was looking at the Yukon Track Enforcer at Mills Fleet Farm last year. Had a sale at the end of the season for $124, but I was too late to get one.

The new Enforcer Elites are even better this year, lots more features than the standard Enforcer I had.
