short skinny osage finished.

This stave had numerous opportunities to work through problems. It was split out pretty narrow and had lots of character. 58" ntn 45# @28.

Nice little bow. It doesn't take much osage to make a good bow.

Buemaker, I made corrections with dry heat. I try not to go overboard getting everything straight. If the strings tracks and it's not some funny shape that's hard to tiller I'm good with it.

Good looking bow!
It's hard to make a wooden bow which isn't beautiful, even if it's ugly.

Thanks guys! I know it has some stiff spots but I was losing # pretty quickly and wanted to finish my deer season with it. Shoots really good for what I started with and hasn't taken much set.

I have a little osage turkey bow just about finished. I'm really enjoying building bows. Selfbows were my original goal when starting trad archery and  it has taken me many years to finally stick with it.
