Chinaberry wood?
« on: January 27, 2016, 09:36:00 AM »
I have a question about some wood that as a kid we used to make bows.   :dunno:    Chinaberry trees?      I know that what we made was quick and fun but wanted to know how or if anyone has tried them.  I have found some new growth from 2” up to 4” very straight and without any limbs at all until you get to about 8’ or so.  What seemed like a good bow whey I was young, well you get my drift.  Thanks for any advice either way   ;)   .

I remember someone posting a chinaberry bow on PA a few years ago. I don't remember much about it but I don't think it lasted. if you decide to make one make it long and wide with a flat belly.
