first time and no disaster!

Well, I just finished fiber glassing my first Big Jim style take down. It's messy and you have to work quickly, but it's not as hard as I thought it would be.    :)
On his videos, Big Jim says that you have about 20 minutes before the resin begins to set up, so I worked as fast as possible, and sure enough, with each strip I wet, the resin got hotter until the last one where I was worried that my gloves might melt. As I wrapped the final strip, it was already stiffening up. When I was done wrapping, I touched the remaining resin and it was solid.
What really surprised me is I didn't get any on me.
I owe a big thank you to Big Jim for the series of tutorial videos he made on the subject.
Now to wait. How long before I can do any more work on my bow?
Dave.

I let mine set overnight and start work on it the next day.

Yes next day and it will be ready.
They are a great set of videos and that method is a good one  :)
