Has anyone sprayed the rim sealer over shellac?  I tried going back and looking for info on it but couldn't find any

I have a bow here that I used the VHT on and it took a bounce on the concrete floor.  :knothead:  Anyhow I had to sand it back down. The stuff is a real pain to get off. I had to end up using a stripper to loosen it up. It just gets too hard for my liking.

This vht is too high tech for me. Whatever happened to bear fat, possum fat, or good ole Beaver grease?

I was gonna try using possum fat to finish a bow.
But man that possum got ticked when I tried squeezing it out of him.

That sucks Mike it sure is hard.  But it's not as bad as trying to suck fat from a possum.
But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

Was wondering how the vht is holding up after being on a bow for awhile?       Any pros, cons?
Any  crackling, peeling ,etc???
And how many  coats are you using???  :dunno:

Mine has been on for almost six months. Have shot the bow quite a bit and carried it during turkey season. No cracking or peeling. Did acquire three or four small chips on the sharper corners of the riser.
This is mostly my fault, as I'm def not the most gentle with my equipment.
