My guess is the the thinner spot is caused by over clamping that spot while gluing. It might have compressed the lam. Could be?

I very much doubt that...

So, is it fixable?
Looking again, I think the form may have a very slight whoop in it there, and if you clamped with clamps, maybe the glue line is thinner there?  Bend a pc of glass around the curve in form (or limb) and check for any light shining thru.

Well I checked again and there seems to be a bit of a flat spot on the form right about here:

Now, it`s hard to see and I had a hard time picking it up. Could this be the problem? And if so, is it fixable of do I neet to make a new form?

Yes, it could put a wiggle in the limb.

I'd still be interested in the limb thickness just off  wedge end and an inch and 2 inches out......
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Ditto....  I would map it 5-6" out and also  compare it to the other limb... [/b]

Ok, lots of pics but here goes. The right one it the lower limb, the left is the upper (newer) limb. I can see I was in a rush when making the new one, I got the thickness a bit off...
Pics go from end of the wedge (fade) to the end of the tip wedge. Mesurments are in milimeters.

That would make it hingey for sure. Mystery solved!

If you do an overlay on both limbs, just make sure they are the same thickness by leaving a bit more on the thin limb.

Thanks Kenny.. I guess I should pay more attention to lam thickness   :knothead:

I'll get that overlay done and keep you guys posted. And I think it's time for me to build another bow. A one piece this time.

Cool Beans...  Both limbs still look a little wonky at the fades...  Just could be the pics...  I would eyeball and check that form real good and correct it...  If it has a low spot fill it with some bondo...

The limb on the left appears to have a dip in it on the belly side. Could be a bad wedge grind or lam thickness that you calipers show. are you free handing your wedges? If so you need to compare thickness at different spots of the taper.
