My first bow had 3 plus inches of set. 1.5 Id call a victory.
Life is to short to pass up anything that could potentially be bow wood!

hey mike, take it easy mate.    :)
i never said you said or didnt say anything.

i didnt, and dont disagree with your tillering method- it obviously works.

all i was doing, was stating my own opinion and agreeing with the way Pat and Roy tiller their bows. As, through time i have seen the pitfalls, and have adjusted my tillering technique to suit.

If i disagreed with you, I would do you the courtesy and I would tell you. Period.
i am not about to turn this thread or this site into a facebook battleground.
Peace out!   :)    :)

I want the bend to start at the end of the fades and increase outward for elliptical tiller and spend hours making sure that happens.

I also like the last 6 inches stiff.
