responding to threads
« on: December 20, 2010, 09:11:00 PM »
Does anyone have the same difficulties i do when posting to multiple threads that the members responding make no reference as to the thread or deal at all leaving me guessing as to which thread and member im dealing with. I think we should be more clear in our responses as to what the heck we are talking about
And in the end when i can no longer draw the bow or watch the arrow embark on its flight;when i posses only the spirit of the hunter, i will hunt.... if only in my dreams... because the hunt is born amidst my soul, and i... i am the hunter

Yes, Mike, at times i do run into that problem if the person emails me instead of sending a pm.  You have to remember that there are a lot of members on here that don't have a lot of computer skills and might not even know what a pm is or what that means.  Also, unfortunately there aren't any internet etiquette classes out there. Common sense and the Golden Rule (or something similar) goes a long way.  :)

Nah Randy, too Dark!

My mind, after work today with the way it is, I wouldn't be able to shoot well any way, therefore I cannot even practice.

When I am stressed I shoot terrible and usually break arrows.  That's why I am here.

Stress relief at its finest.

To the originator of this thread, I honestly find your post some what confusing myself. I think we all do the best we can. Things are rather informal around here.

When some reply to a thread via PM they may not know if you have multiple threads out(classifieds) and if your PM addy says click to email this user(cause you don't want your email known) then the emailer should post a topic in the email and even with a PM. Some may just get to excited. And some emails do not go to the PM's I have experienced this a time or to.It goes to the persons email rather than TG PM. If we can explain exactly what we are looking for and ask to reply in detail then it should eliminate any problems. If you post classifieds you should check it regularly and only PM if you want it. If you have a question ask it openly in the thread. I never typed this much this early.
Some people live an entire lifetime and wonder if they have ever made a
difference in the world, but the Marines don’t have that problem.
