Back arrow taking to wrong page

Usually when I go into a thread and want to return to the first page of the particular forum, I click on the "back arrow" at the top left of the screen, one screen at a time,until I am completely out of the thread. However,quite often when the system returns me to page one of the forum, it is page one of some previous day.Yesterday, for example, in Pow Wow on May 8, the system returned me to page 1 from May 6. This happens a lot. How should I be exiting a particular thread? Thanks.

your browser's back arrow should take you back to the last page you viewed.  i've never seen it fail.  

when you're done reading a particular thread, do not use the browser's back arrow - instead, go to the bottom of the page and select a "Shoot on over to:" link to click on.
