Fake Email From Raljph Harris

Now look we all know Ralph is fine stand up person and one of our brothers but I got this spam email because someone has hacked his email account and emailed everyone in his contact list. I have gotten this email several times over the years and it is about the same email verbatim. I just sent him a PM and I expect to hear from him soon. I am sure others here have gotten this email as well. Just figured it would be a good idea to post here so that everyone would know. I find it pretty unlikely he is in the Philippines. Here is the email I got.

Hello.

I'm writing this with tears in my eyes,my family and I came down here to Manila Philippines for a short vacation and we were mugged at gun point last night at the park  of the hotel where we lodged,all cash and credit card were stolen off us but luckily for us we still have our passports with us...We've been to the Embassy and the Police here,but they're not helping issues at all they asked us to wait for 3weeks but we can't wait till then and our flight leaves  in few hours from now but we're having problems settling the hotel bills and the hotel manager won't let us leave until we settle the hotel bills,we are freaked out at  the moment...Well I really need your financially assistance...Please let me know if you can help us out,Write me back so i can tell you how to get it to me

Wow, what a coincidence, my sister and her family got mugged in the Phillipines too and sent me almost the same email verbatim.

it's just spam, scam and/or bug mail.

it's easy to tell just by the nature of the email - do you really think it came from "ralphie"?

better yet, if you look at the email's full header record, you will see the origin ip address is china, iran, russia, brazil, etc ...

...gotta agree with Rob on that...... By the way, I'm stuck here in the good ol USA and would enjoy, strike that, and NEED a vacation to somewhere sunny and warm...preferably where I won't get shot at... Feel free to send funds, airfare, shorts and sandals to me up here in central NY where it's only 3 degrees outside... Looking forward to a positive response...

Sorry for posting in the wrong location. I knew that it was not from Ralph but since it did come from his email account I just wanted to let others know what the deal was.
