Shot this one with Miss Faith, Dryad Orion, 58" 53#@28" recurve limbs, Gt5575 with 145 grain, older muzzy broadhead....
Nice rattlesnake, to put things in perspective, I am 6'4" tall...

BLM, Nice shot! You nearly shot his head right off. You have a very nice skin for a bow now.

wow, good shot...I know his head is nearly severed but he looks like he's still writhing in the pic instead of hanging limp??

Hunting was hazardous, but at least it guaranteed the freedom of the individual.
There is no doubt that the onset of farming saw the end of leasure for the majority of people, who were destined to toil in the fields.

That is a fair-sized one!
Looks like another bow to be skinned....
Shoot straight, Shinken

Any dead rattlesnake is a "nice" rattlesnake. Especially when they are that close to a person.
Congrats,

That's a good one for sure. Should make some fine bow backing.

Nice Rattler! My buddy killed an 8 footer in his back yard by his kids swing set last year. He threw it in the ditch before I could get my hands on it.
