For those interested in squirrel hunting and father/son shooting with the bow take a look. Also, more pics of other traditional kills.

Very nice hunting territory.
What sort of point do you use for squirrels? Metallic blunts?

I use field points with this bow. I'm shooting cane arrows in a 40# bow so I don't get the pop that I get in my 50+ lbs. bows. I like the arrow to stay in the squirrel. I find that I retrieve almost all squirrels when the arrow is in them. I like hex blunts and judos in heavier bows.

Very cool, nice shooting. I wish our squirrel season was open in the spring.

Great hunting Ranger.

I love small game hunting, and have an article in the current issue of TradArchers World about it.

I am no history buff, but I suspect that Native Americans hunted quite a bit of small game to adourn their cook fires.  It wasn't all buffalo, elk and venison!  I consider small game to be almsot an unsung hero of the game world.
