South Dakota Turkeys

Went to South Dakota and managed to take a couple of turkeys. Toelke takedown recurve, Beman MFX shafts, Woodsman broadheads.

We were not hunting with an outfitter but we were hunting private land.

Congratulations Marty, nice birds! Where were you hunting? It looks like Gregory County but there are several other counties that would look pretty similar. I am always glad to see visiting hunters do well!
To me, the ultimate challenge in bowhunting is not how far away you can succesfully make a killing shot but rather how close you can get to the animal before shooting.
