homemade crester help
« on: March 15, 2008, 01:33:00 AM »
It's late and I'm hoping one of you can conjur up an idea that will let me use my new homemade arrow crester.  I bought a 1.5-3VDC Metal Gear Motor from radio shack for $3.00.  The gear is pretty small and I have failed in my attempt to find something that I can attatch to it that will chuck an arrow.

Any Ideas???

I saw a guy use an HTM rubber blunt. He drilled a small hole in the blunt end just big enough for the shaft on the motor and jammed it on. Then, stuck his arrow in the other end. The only thing was the arrow would have a wobble from time to time and he would have to fidget with it a bit to get it turning precise. But, his arrows looked pretty good with that thing. Just a thought for ya. Gap  :)

or save yourself the headache and buy one.   I really really like mine by arrow specialties.   Sure like building my own stuff but the reality of it was, this is by far better then any home made job I've played or tried to make.  Much much less headaches and much much better cresting jobs (NO wobble!)
