Mods delete this if needed but curious before the move to new forum had over 2,000 posts now it shows 873 is this because of classified ads etc ?

Yeah, noticed my post count was down by 800+/-. Most of my posting has been on the St. Jude auction forums, so that may have something to do with the difference.

there were a LOT of things about the old forum software that either didn't work "right" or just didn't work at all.

we noticed some major differences when we put up the test site in terms of post counts being off, and deleted PMs all of a sudden showing up.

at this point, i have no concrete answer as to why these things occurred, but we're looking into it.

however, it will probably turn out to be just be water under the bridge and there is no fix for post counts (but there is for PMs - just prune 'em out).

that's about the best i can do for now, sorry.

Yep - lost about 400 or so.   Oh well,  not gonna loose any sleep over that.
Fair trade off for all the new improvements.

we pruned out a LOT of posts and boards, prior to the move.  that's why post counts are down for folks.  removing as much data as we could benefited the conversion process by making it somewhat less time consuming, with less data to crunch.
