So, I'm getting closer to finishing a heavier bow and will need some new arrows for it.
In checking on some spine calculations....and I got to thinking about this bow already being cut to center (+1/8" with the rest) and the calculator likes me using 340 spine arrows, which are a lot heavier and calculated to be a bit slower....versus cutting it less than center (say 5/16" or 3/16") and the calculators like using some 500 or 400 spine arrows that may be a bit lighter, but fly a fair bit faster.
Too many options and weight inserts, and crap to even begin to mess with unless you have $1000 to buy a bit of everything!
So what are your thoughts on this? Where do you cut your windows too? And how much faith do you put into Stu's or 3Rivers spine calculators?
Thanks,
