D-Bow tiller question.

Hey guys, this is a straight limbed d-bow, boo backed maple, trapped back. Glued in some reflex still has a half inch. It came in under weight so I piked it, cut new nocks and started shooting pine cones. No hand shock, accurate and pretty smooth. Its 61 n2n tad over an inch wide at the handle 3/4 at the tips. It looks stiff in the handle but I cn feel it flex. I don't think its an even enough bend through out the bow. I took two pics at full draw, turning the bow upside down it the second. pic. What do you guys think. I need to make one of these for someone so it has to be right.  I really like it for some reason, snappy and pretty smooth.

John, the outer limb on the top limb looks stiff. You could get both outer limbs bending slightly more but especially the top.

Imo, we shouldn't give advice without seeing a picture of the current unbraced profile... at least.

If we don't know where it started, we have no baseline, no reference for relativity. Simply comparing one limb to the other as it's drawn isn't enough.

Agree with Pat and Bowjunkie.

If you don't have a lot of reflex at the tips, then the outer limbs are stiff.

If you had a lot of reflex at the tips, then the way it looks would be better.

But you are close.

Ill get some pics this evening. I lost a lot trying to get the tips to bend, that's why I piked it. Might pike it again. The profile is straight. Think I took to much from the handle early on. I should've got the tips right then worked the handle. That top limb doesn't want to bend at all the last 14 inches or so, think its the boo node in that area?
I like the maple belly wood, so the next one I can get a better starting point.
