ever tried footing a wooden arrow with a piece of aluminum shaft with an insert attached? ou know so you can attach screw on points insted of glue ons?
is it even possible?

There is a glue on adapter that is available that will allow you to do just that.

I tried it, if the aluminum "outsert" isn't a really close fit it's real hard to get em on straight. You're better off investing in the adapters, just glue em on and there ya go. No guess work

I "foot" some of my 11/32" cedars with a 6" long piece of 2213 aluminum shaft with insert. I do it with a pocket knife using a scarping motion. Go slow and keep "fitting" the aluminum; they come out very straight and spin true. Nice for using screw on points with wooden shafts.

I believe the 2314 will fit without changing the shaft on 11/32 :0)
