Maine family friendly summer fun
« on: April 21, 2018, 07:50:43 AM »
The Maine Traditional Archers summer rendevous is being held July 13, 14 and 15 at the Durham Rod and Gun Club. Durham is located 20 minutes from Freeport, the shopping mecca of Maine and home to LL Bean. With five 20 target courses, arial shoot, turbo hog, Warrior course , and other cash prize competitions it is a great event. Primitive camping is available on site, and hotels are a short distance away. Add in a lobster dinner on Saturday night and it is a great family vacation opportunity. If the fam doesn’t shoot they can enjoy shopping and the sights of coastal Maine while you shoot your fingers off.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

It is a great event and a bargain for all the shooting available.

I'm hoping to make it this year. I just started trad last year, and have had a lot of health setbacks, but hoping those are settled by then. Is there info on the MTA site?

The MTA site does not have much info. They just sent out the dates. There is also a shoot on May 20th at the same location.
