prayers for our own Bernie Dunn
« on: March 10, 2018, 10:03:00 AM »
Some of you who've been around TG a while know of Bernie...

He's been omnipresent in this venue for eons.

I recently learned he's been having challenges and then on top it all, he being in his 80's I believe, lost his life mate recently....

He's had low appetite and I got a note they think on top of the cancer he battled (successfully they think) he may have a touch of pneumonia so he's on meds for that.

This is a man of true faith and fortitude... a sensitive and caring a person as I've ever met and losing his life partner has to be huge but he's trying to forge ahead...

Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayers for Bernie...

Prayers for Bernie.
Do not follow where the path may lead.  Go, instead, where there is no path and leave a trail.

Bernie, I am praying that the medications you are on will kick that pneumonia in the rear end.

**I talked with Bernie this evening**

Doc,  Like you, I have been trying to reach Bern for quite a spell.
I finally connected!  Bernie sounds great!

He is not without challenges (who is) and during my long chat with him He mentioned several times how
much he appreciates the group here in prayer room!

He wanted me to give y'all big thank-you!

When I logged in thru the notice that came to me via email, I could NOT find a reply button!!!

I had to go all the way out and then come back in thru another venue...

I'm so pleased to know that Bernie is doing ok...!

Knowing Bernie got a computer to use, I kept pinging him and finally, finally got a reply... Short sentence saying Taxes and memory were all "fouled up and driving him crazy..."  That he was "eating better and beginning to regain a little weight...but just too many things to deal with these days..."

So I guess our Mini Grunt is doing, but still can use our prayers in spades!
