Memorial Day
« on: May 26, 2018, 08:37:29 AM »
Take a few minutes out of your busy days this weekend and remember those who gave all for this country.
The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.

I took my boy to our National cemetery for the placement of the flags with his Cub Scout Pack. Thanks to all those who serve and have served our great county.

On this Memorial Day... Please remember SSGT Kirk Owen, a Scout with Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 279th Infantry who was killed in action on 02AUG11. SSGT Owen was a Full-Timer with the Oklahoma National Gaurd. He truly believed that serving his country was a God-given calling for him.

He was an extraordinary leader who did so by example, always from the front... and my Little Brother.

Keep in your thoughts his wife, two daughters and our parents as well.

Please take a couple of minutes to watch this video in honor of those that served and those that made the ultimate sacrifice.

Do not follow where the path may lead.  Go, instead, where there is no path and leave a trail.
