I"ll try to not drag this out too much. I had an experience while at Cloverdale this past weekend I need to talk about. After shooting the course Sat. morning I wondered the vendors tents for a bit and while going by Big Jims, I spoke a little bit with Preacher, Big Jims accomplice. Fast forward to late that afternoon, I went into town for pizza with my wife. We were camped at the RV park. I decided to fuel up the diesel to be ready to hook up the camper the next morning and head out.
After fueling up my truck wouldn't start. So after calling AAA, we were left waiting for quite a while. Side note: if you have AAA it is a joke!!!. About 2.5 hours into our wait I saw Preacher at the station. After talking with him, he volunteered to help us. Trying to jump start my truck was unsuccessful and after a bit the first? AAA guy shows up. I thanked Preacher wholeheartedly and he gave me his number if I needed anything. The AAA guy wasn't much help and they were sending another guy. After about an hour of waiting for the 2nd guy, Preacher calls me to check on us and see if there was anything he could do to help.
This company of traditional folks never fails to amaze me. I have bought things from Big Jim before but Preacher had never seen me before and he went out of his way to help. I know where I'll be buying everything I need from now on.
