Leather handle stitching patterns
« on: July 23, 2018, 12:18:10 AM »
Hello all!  I'm about to wrap a longbow grip with some beaver tail and would like to see some different stitching patterns. I now there are many ways to stitch, so the more examples, the better! Thanks! Pat

Pat, you might try posting this over on the Bowyers Bench to see what folks over there say.

Hoosier did what's called a baseball stitch.  It's my favorite for leather grip wraps.

The baseball stitch is probably the most common.

I don't think that's actually a true baseball stitch but hard to tell on my phone.  Irregardless, it's very nicely done.
