New to me bow
« on: July 18, 2018, 08:03:16 PM »
I “won” the Browning Fury that was offered by Biathlonman for the St. Jude’s auction. I got the bow last Friday but it’s so blasted hot here I waited till this AM to shoot. In the meantime I did a little research on the bow and accessories that were offered. I found pictures of the bow quiver bracket and Sanders rest but haven’t seen any for sale. I admit I am not Browning Archery wise but I am enjoying my search’s.
I have nicknamed it the “little beast”. At 65#@28 it is for this almost 73 year old person. I managed about 60 arrows at the range until the heat drove me out. Frankly I like it, it likes my old 2117’s with 175 grain points. Might try some 65-70# woods next trip.

Want to thank Biathlonman for offering up the bow. Summer is a slow time, having something “new” makes it easier.   TomM

The old brownings were some good shooters. I picked up an old nomad yesterday that needs some tlc but i got the slight limb twist out of it last night. Going to strip the clear coat, refinish it and put a new goat hair rest on it and string and sling some arrows.
