Looking for My (formerly) Black Forest Longbow
« on: July 26, 2018, 06:20:55 PM »
When I abandoned archery 10 years ago after a few shoulder surgeries I sold or 'gifted' all of my gear. Now that I can shoot again, there's one bow I'd like to buy back, if I can find it... it's made of Colorado mountain juniper laminations from a log I cut in my old hunting grounds. I sold the bow through RMSG to a local buyer (Colorado) and I've asked Tommy Clum to keep an eye out.

The bow:  Mike Treadway one piece Black Forest longbow, 64", maybe marked 46#@28" (I don't think I had Mike mark the draw weight at my 29.5" draw), when made it had my name on it, Dave Rice...and of course, Mike's dragonfly.

Or, if you have it and want to keep it, I hope that it has served you well and put some meat in the freezer!

Dave

Don't give up. took me a while but I found a bow I sold in 14 that my dad gifted me in 96. Never thought Id see it again but II got it back and maybe this year I will kill my first deer with it. Good luck.
Is it deer season yet?
