Hear ye! Hear ye!

The 34th annual Great Lakes Longbow Invitational is coming!!!  August 10, 11, and 12, 2018.

Hosted by the Michigan Longbow Association, who is celebrating 35 years of existence, At Historic Charlton Park: Village, Museum & Recreation Area.  3 days of camping, and traditional archery.  Longbow enthusiasts from far and wide are invited to attend and participate.  3 great 3D courses, provided by Frankemuth Forrest Archers and Land O' Lakes Archers.  Great events, including the Silver Arrow, the Ol' Sagamore Turkey Shoot, and much, much more.

The courses open at 9am Friday through Saturday, as well as the Vendor Barn and Village, for all your traditional archery equipment needs.  Many Bowyers and equipment suppliers will be there!  We will have a vendor list and a schedule posted on the event page very soon!

Remember, it is an equipment specific event, as we are celebrating the Longbow, and the Longbow Archer.  Kids 16 and under can use either longbow or recurve.

Coming soon!  Bring the family, and join us for a great weekend of traditional archery and camping!

the wife and i will be there, coming from NE Wisconsin, decided not to pull the camper that far, plus having to go thru Chicago! So we are taking the ferry across to Ludington, and staying in a tent on the grounds, like we did years ago, when it was in Berrin Springs, cant wait!

I'll be there but my new shoulder won't be ready to shoot yet.  :archer2:

Is it traditional longbows only? I am asking specifically because I have a Martin savannah which is a pretty heavy r/d. Wish I still had my northern mist.

JBuchin3

All longbows, including 3 piece take down r/d longbows, , regular R/D longbows,( St Joe River
Shrews, Strikers, etc) ASLs, selfbows, and even those Bear Polars qualify.  The string can not touch the belly of the bow.

Bring that bow out and come join in the fun!

Mr. Ron, it's good to hear you will make it out this year, considering the surgery.  How is recovery going?

Planning on making the 490 mile drive from Western NY again this year with my son. The folks there in MI are top shelf, a great weekend for sure.
