Labor day weekend
« on: August 29, 2018, 06:40:35 PM »
Well putting this out there, labor day is hard for me,dad died.  49 years old and another world war marine gone.  I was out out of the air force then but my brother was in boot camp at lack land.  Dad showed me the basics of hunting, and I carried into bowhunting, and getting grandson into bowhunting too.

I’m sure there was a lot of life packed in those 49 years.  For most of them, they were kids during the depression, and young men just in time for WWII.  Saw an article recently comparing photos of young people in the ‘40’s with young people today.  Young people in the ‘40’s looked a lot more mature than young people today, because they had lived through a lot more by the same age.  Semper Fi to your Dad, with hopes that he rests in peace.

We appreciate you and your family's service and are sorry for the loss of your dad.  Carry on his memory, his faith, his ethics and his life in the Legacy he leaves you.

May God bless you and yours and find peace in His Spirit.

Dan, you know Marines are used to guard the pearly gates. A Semper Fi goes out to your pop.
