I still need to put on a rough fiber handle wrap, but here’s my new fishing bow. It’s hickory that is 2” wide from fade to midlimb then tapers to 1/2” nocks. The handle is 7” long, with 2” for each fade. The limbs are 26” from fade to nock. I made the handle long enough to be able to glue in the insert for a fishing reel and keep it well out of the bending portion. It started with 3/4” reflex, I heat treated in about 3” of total reflex, after shooting in the limbs are flat. After about 15 minutes thee limbs have 3/4” reflex again. It’s not very quick, but quick enough, pushing a 750gr arrow at 145 FPS at my short 26” draw.
