New fangled online licensces
« on: August 27, 2018, 04:45:47 PM »
Bought all my tags on line today, and the senior discount is nice, but these printed black and white tags lack the soul the old school back tags had.you old school bow hunters know what I'm talking about.usually a new color every year, and the excitement of going with dad to buy your tags.well dads gone, its me and the grandson now.guess I'll keep passing it on to the next bow hunters, sans back tags, lol, dan

Your post brought back a lot of memories, and I still have most of those colored tags you talked about. I am like you, somehow the new little paper license tags just do not have the character that our old tags had. Oh well, I guess we have to settle for the new and improved...………...

I used to save all my old back tags. They had duck stamps attached or in pa there was the tag to hang on your buck. You could hang them along the wall in the garage and see which years were successful or not. No soul to the computer printed things they give you nowadays!

I’m not even as old as most here, and I remember having to pin them on my back. Still have most of mine.
It was sometimes inconvenient, but I actually miss going to check stations and getting a metal tag put on your deer.

No those tags have no heart anymore. Even the ones I get directfrom G&F office over the counter. Like a computer printout. Maybe cause our G&F recieves no AZ public funds.

I noticed that when I got my saltwater license in July.  Florida has come a long way in customer service in recent years.

Back in the day, inPa., You'd need two license holders for your back cuz the Doe license was displayed along with the general license. Same for bear back then too.
