Zero nock point and still bareshaft low

Nock point from 3/4 to 0 and bareshaft still 2 inches low---what gives--- (form errors?)
bear kodiak hunter 45# 8 1/4 brace 28.5 inch 1916 125gr point my draw is 28 inches. Shooting off shelf with leather rest and side plate with tooth pick under them---ANY IDEAS?

Do you mean the bareshaft nock is low (flying below the point) or that the bare shaft is impacting 2” lower than you would like?

How is the orientation when viewed from the side? Straight in? nock low, nock high?

Unusual that you would experience nock low at 3/4”, but nock low usually indicates that the nock point needs to be raised.  Try it at 1” and let us know what happens.

 Will do----- changing to 1 inch now and will check tomorrow (dark on the east side now)---Hope it gets it been driving me nuts!

Also try increasing the pressure on your index finger.  Excessive pressure on the ring finger can cause this.

Are you shooting split finger or three under? Shooting three under on a bow that's tillered split can give you fits with porpoising, a higher nock point and second nock set under the arrow nock can help. If McDaves advice doesn't fix it, try the second nock set no matter which way you grip the string, arrow could be slipping down the string when you release, leave just a little gap so you don't get nock pinch at full draw.

You could also try an elevated arrow rest.

A feather rest is my suggestion.

That will raise your arrow shelf up approximately 1/4 inch.

A lot of older recurves were designed to shoot off an elevated rest above the shelf. If you convert such a bow to shooting off the shelf, it make your nocking point seem way high. If this could be the case, keep going up, and at some point it should level out the shaft. If it works, I would raise the shelf enough to even out the angle of the arrow. Shooting off a too-low shelf makes shooting more sensitive to minor changes in form.

Thanks for all the info guys---- I have 4 or 5 flipper rest 2 so I figured why not ----- cured the problem
