Question - older bear Griz
«
on:

A friend of a friend contacts me saying he is hunting w a older bear Griz this year but some of the finish is coming off. What should he re-coat the bad spots with? Polly?
Thanks boys - I just want to help the guy as he comes over to our side of trad hunting.

oil based poly is what I've used, some times thinned out so you can rub in on by hand. Or Tru-Oil

Tru oil works. If he is just worried about protecting it, he can do spray poly or deft. If he doesn't like the way it looks, he can paint it or sand the whole thing down and use the aforementioned materials
